G. Heath Denmark, PA-C Joins BJISG

The Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia continues to grow with the addition of Heath Denmark, PA-C, a Certified Physician Assistant.

Heath brings over 5 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Physician Assistant. He attended Georgia College and State University (GCSU) in Milledgeville, Georgia, graduating in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then obtained a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, GA.

Upon his graduation in March of 2013, he began practicing in Douglas, GA. During his time in Douglas, he worked with a number of specialized teams including: Sports Medicine, General Orthopaedics, Total Joint Replacements, and Spine. “Heath brings with him a well-deserved reputation which adds to our respected group of providers our communities has access to,” said Dr. J. Matthew Valosen, Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Heath’s interest in Orthopaedics began in High School after a sports injury that required surgery. That surgery was performed by Dr. Kenerly. After his recovery, Heath shadowed Dr. Kenerly to learn more about the specialty. “I chose orthopaedics because of my interest in the sciences and sports. Orthopaedics not only brings all of my interests together, but allows us to impact a patient’s life quickly and get them back to the things they love,” said Heath.

“We are blessed to have Heath join BJISG. He brings a wide variety of orthopaedic experience that will be an asset for our patients and surrounding communities,” said Dr. J. Lex Kenerly,III, Orthopaedic Surgeon.
