W. Stephen Hutcheson, P.A.-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Stephen Hutcheson brings over ten years of orthopedic experience to the Bone and Joint Institute. “Stephen will be a tremendous asset to BJI and we’re excited to have him join the practice,” said J. Lex Kenerly, MD, Orthopaedic Surgeon. “He brings many years of orthopaedic experience, as well as an excellent reputation in the Ware County area.”
A native of Waycross, Hutcheson graduated with honors from Ware County High School and attended Waycross College and The University of Georgia. Upon graduating from The Medical College of Georgia in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, he spent his final rotation in orthopaedics, followed by an assignment with the orthopaedic department at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart.
“What I love most about orthopaedic care is that we are able to make a real difference in peoples’ lives by helping give them the ability to continue doing the things they love to do,” said Hutcheson. “I look forward to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to each patient at The Bone & Joint Institute.”
Stephen is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, volunteers with The Boy Scouts of America, and is fluent in Spanish. Prior to his career in orthopaedics, Hutcheson completed a two-year mission in The Dominican Republic. He and his wife, Mary Anne, have four children.
Dr. J Matthew Valosen said, “Stephen’s passion for orthopaedics and the high level of care he gives our patients makes him an ideal addition to the BJI family. We feel very fortunate to have him on board.”
