Marlin Brown, a Board Certified AthleticTrainer, was born and raised in Moncks Corner, SC and graduated from Charleston Southern University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training. Marlin also holds a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
In 2015, the Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia employed Marlin to be the dedicated Athletic Trainer of Pierce County High School. There, he provides emergency care, concussion evaluation and management, injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment including therapeutic rehabilitation
“My goal is to help athletes return to play as quickly and safely as possible. When an athlete sustains an injury or
illness, I will evaluate the athlete, provide recommendations, and assist with the treatment of the injury or illness
within my scope of practice. If I feel that the athlete needs to see the doctor, I will assist in referring the athlete to
the appropriate physician.”
Recently, Mr. Brown received certification as an Impact Trained Athletic Trainer (ITAT). This certification provides additional training that includes the latest concussion management research and treatment options available.
